Biography

Robert Stewart FOURACRE was born in 1890 in Morrisons, Victoria - his name is also spelt Robert Stuart on some of his records

His parents were John FOURACRE and Jane GIBSON

He enlisted on 16th July, 1915 with the Australian Army - he was with the 22nd Battalion, 9th Reinforcement - Unit embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Warilda in February, 1916

Robert was Killed in Action on 14th August, 1918 - he is buried in Bouzincourt Communal Cemetery Extension, France.  He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal
