Albert Horace Holland
Albert was my great-uncle.
Along with his younger brother Joseph, embarked in 1915 for Gallipoli and then on to France. Thomas, their older brother was already overseas on active service.
I have a photo of all three brothers when they met up in the trenches.
I also have letters written to my grandmother from her brother 'Bert'.
Unfortunately, Bert was wounded and died in France aged just 22 years.
