Private Kenneth Forrest was born 24 August 1922 in Kalgoorlie and was the son of Thomas Alexander FORREST and Kitty nee GREEN.  He was a stockman prior to World War II.  Kenneth enlisted with the 28th Battalion of the Australian Army at the age of 19 in Kalgoorlie and served in Papua New Guinea.
