Les was born in Auburn NSW 29 August 1924 the son of William John Trimmer and Elizabeth Jane (nee Moxon). He trained as an Electro Plater.
With Service Number NX169835 he served during WW2 in New Guinea, Balikapapan, Borneo with the 2/27 Infantry Battn.
He married Alice Frances Louise Starr 10 April 1953 and had 2 surving children living all his married life in Dundas Valley.
He died 11 July 2011 and was buried Macquarie Park.
