Son of Donald John and Elsie Emma McBain, of Bronzewing, Victoria, Australia.

HE DIED FOR US

Privte McBain was born in the Ouyen district and was the first casualty from that district.  He was educated at Bronzewing SS.  He was a member of the local football team , was unmarried and assisted his father on his farm.  He was 22 years of age.
