Driver William EVANS was the son of John EVANS and Selina TRUMAN and was born in the Adelaide suburb of Unley in 1867.

In 1894 he married Annie GARDINER and together they had 8 children.

Private William EVANS returned to Australia and was discharged as medically unfit.  He died on the 6th March 1917 in Adelaide and ws buried in the West Terrace Cemetery War Graves section.
