Richard Leslie Penrose was born on 30th November 1885, not October as shown above - updated by his granddaughter Marilyn.

Richard Leslie Penrose was the son of Richard Henry Penrose and Elizabeth Ann Francis born on 30th October 1885 in Moonta Mines then later move to Adelaide City.

He enlisted on the 10th January 1916 and was discharged on 10th May 1919.

In 1921 he married Elsie Pearl Sinclair and had two children, Marjorie in 1921 and Richard Melville in 1925.

Sadly in 1965 Richard's wife Elsie died. Richard then passed away in 1969 leaving behind children and grandchildren.

Richard and Elsie are buried in North Brigthon Cemtery, South Australia
