Son of Charles Vivash and Anne Vivash of Wiltshire, England.

Prior to coming to Australia Charles had served with the Wiltshire Regiment for over seventeen years including six months in South Africa's Natal Rebellion.

Next of kin given as a friend Vesta Wise of Government Experimental Farm, Scheyville via Riverstone, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 10 December 1918 aboard HT Somali disembarking on 10 February 1919
