Keith Alfred BETTLES was born in Bright, Victoria in 1894
His parents were Alfred Lewis BETTLES & Jessie Ethel SCOTT
He had previously served for 2 years & 2 months in the 51st Infantry Battalion, Citizens Military Forces before he enlisted in Melbourne on 17th August, 1914 and embarked with the 6th Infantry Battalion, C Company on 19th October, 1914 on the HMAT Hororata
He returned to Australia on 31st July, 1918 - date of discharge unknown
Keith married Moara Emily CAMERON in Victoria in 1940 - children, Jean, Leslie & Keith
He died on 4th June 1975 and is buried in the Frankston Cemetery in Victoria
