Private Vincent Henry Binns (Service No:T22142) served with the ACMF from 14 April 1942 to 21 February 1943. Private Binns was attached to 24 Australian Employment Coy at Discharge.

Born in 1903 in Launceston Tasmania, Vincent was the fourth of nine children of Charles Binns (b1867 in Fingal, Tasmania) and Georgenia Lavenia Dunn (b1870 in Fingal, Tasmania). Charles (a Labourer) and Georgenia married in 1898 in Fingal and lived in Scamander, St Mary's, Launceston and Devonport where Charles was a Labourer. In 1915 Charles was working in Devonport as a Labourer at Don Tramways Works when he Deserted his wife and children and left for QLD where he worked as a Labourer in Mackay and Charters Towers.

Vincent was a Labourer in Launceston when he enlisted in the ACMF, and in 1944 in Launceston he married Lorna Irene Amy Simmonds (b1915 in Launceston, Tasmania). Vincent and Lorna lived in Launceston where Vincent was a Labourer. Lorna died in 1950 and Vincent in 1958.
