Son of Louis Osborne and Margaret Ann Worcester formerly Osborne of Toolleen, Victoria

On 26 February 1919 George married Mary Stevens Carmen in the Wesley Rock Chapel, Pensance, England. Minister Alfred Head officiated. 

Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1919 aboard HT Indarra disembarking on 6 September 1919
