Warrant Officer II Dalmore Ernest Reidy-Crofts (Service No:WX33578) initially served in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W15532) from 16 June 1941 to 28 September 1942. Private Reidy-Crofts served with 122 Reserve Motor Depot and Vehicle Reception Depot (VRD) and was a Staff Sergeant when he Discharged to enlist in the AIF on 29 September 1942. He served with 9 Advanced Ordnance Workshop AEME and 109 Command Depot, and was promoted to Warrant Officer II on 4 March 1944. WOII Reidy-Crofts was attached to 5th Advanced Reinforcement Depot at Discharge on 22 November 1945.

Dalmore was born in Donnybrook, WA in 1909, seventh of eith children of Sydney (Syd) Herbert Crofts (b1871 in Hertfordshire, England) and May Letitia Caporn (b1875 in Fremantle, WA). Syd arrived in Australia in 1890 and was employed by the JC Williamson Comic Opera Company - using the stage name Syd Reidy. Syd and May married in Fremantle in 1895, and lived there (Syd worked for the WAGR and managed a Distillery) and in Kondinin, Mt Kokeby via Beverley, Wiluna, Kununoppin and Toodya, where Syd was a Hotel Licensee and Commercial Traveller. Following May's death in 1929, Syd remarried in Perth in 1932 - Alma Kate Williams (b1894 in Terrowie, South Australia) - Kate worked in Perth as a Stenographer and Civil Servant. Syd and Kate lived in Perth from the mid 1930s, where Syd was a Businessman with diverse agencies and the Banff Distillery. In the early 1940s they moved to Rockingham where Syd was a Farmer.

Dalmore worked in Wiluna as a Barman at his father's Hotel, and in 1930 in Kalgoorlie, married Florence May Richards (b1908 in Pinjarra, WA). Dalmore and Florence lived in Wiluna and Narambeen where Dalmore worked as a Barman and Hotel Licensee before moving to Big Bell via Cue in the mid 1930s where Dalmore worked as a Labourer. By 1940 Dalmore and Florence were in Perth, where Dalmore worked as a Barman and Hotel Manager before enlisting in the Army. Following his Discharge, Dalmore and Florence remained in Perth where they raised their family and Dalmore worked as a Barman and Salesman. Dalmore died in 1963 and Florence in 1986.
