Commenced return to Australia on 22 November 1919 aboard HT Aeneas dis embarking on 9 January 1920

During 1924c Samuel married Edith Lorna Pearson in Victoria.

When Samuel enlisted for WW2 he lowered his age by about six years and was living at Hanby Street, Brighton, Victoria.
