His father Stephen was the school teacher stationed at Marsden Park, New South Wales, Australia.
Married Joan Gallen, of Marden Park on the 25th of April 1947 a few years after the war.
They built their house around a tent they pitched on their property at Wentworthville.
They had 12 children and raised 11.
Francis (stillborn*), Rosslyn, Suzanne, Kerry, Michael, Shayne, Narell, Geradine, Keiran, Anette, Jacinta, Loretta.
Loretta the youngest passing in 1991.
In1985 he retired and they moved back to Marsden Park where Joan was born.
He passed away in hospital 29th of May 1994 of natural causes, at 67 and 11 months old.
