Francis Keith (aka Keith) was the youngest of three children of William Henry O'Donnell (b1900 in Withchipool nr Donald, Victoria) and Dulcie Charlotte Emily Williams (b1900 in Dimboola, Victoria). William - an Electrician - and Dulcie married in 1923 in Beulah, Yarriambiack, Victoria. Following Keith's birth in 1927, the family moved to Melbourne where William was a Police Constable. Dulcie died in 1931.
Keith enlisted in the Australian Army in April 1945 and was a Private (Service No:VX97148) attached to 1 Australian BAD when he was Discharged in January 1947.
By 1949 Keith was a Nurse at the Mental Hospital in Ararat, Victoria and in 1951 married Veronica Marjorie Paynter (b1927 in Ararat, Victoria) - Marjorie was a Launderess. Keith and Marjorie soon moved to Melbourne, where Keith worked as a Mental Nurse. Veronica died in 2007 and Keith in 2017.
