Corporal Harry Jefferson O'Halloran (Service No:WX12350) enlisted in the Australian Army on 2 May 1941 as a Private. He served in the Middle East (7 November 1941 - 24 March 1942) with 2 Australian Beach Workshop AEME. Promoted to Corporal, he served in SWPA from 16 March 1945 to 10 November 1945 and was attached to 2 Australian Beach Workshop when he was Discharged on 5 February 1914. 

The fifth of seven children, Harry was born in 1918 in North Perth WA to Martin William O'Halloran (b1876 at Sandhurst, Victoria) and Alice Isabelle Smith (b1887 at Petersburgh, South Australia). Martin (a Labourer) and Alice married in 1910 in Perth WA where they settled and raised their family and Martin worked as a Labourer and Engine Driver.

Harry was a Labourer in Perth WA in 1939 when he married Elsie May Booth (b1919 in Kalgoorlie, WA). Harry and Elsie divorced in 1946 - Harry worked in Perth as a Fitter's Assistant following his Discharge. In the late 1970's Harry remarried to Charlotte May Nelson (nee Knight; b1914 in Perth, WA). Harry and Charlotte settled in Perth where Harry worked as a Fitter's Assistant until his death in 1985. Charlotte died in 2012.
