Sergeant Reese George White (Service Nos:W2745/WX34507) initially enlisted in the ACMF as a Gunner on 16 January 1942, and was a Gunner attached to 3 Field Regiment on 16 October 1942 when he Discharged 'in the field' to enlist  the following day in the AIF. Sergeant White - graded Clerk - served in New Guinea from 26 March 1944 to 10 June 1945, and was attached to 3 Australian Cipher Section at Discharge on 23 November 1945.

Reese (Reece) was born in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1917, youngest of three children of William White (b1883 in Fremantle, Western Australia) and Martha Jane Williams (b1882 in Gympie, QLD). William was a Clerk in Fremantle when he and Martha married in 1911 in Fremantle - Martha was living at Salvation Army House in Fremantle in 1909. William and Martha settled in North Fremantle, where they raised their family and William was a Clerk until his death in 1931.

Reese was working as a Clerk in Fremantle when he married Florence Mabel Binns (b1915 in Fremantle, Western Australia) in 1941. Reese and Florence settled in North Fremantle, where Reese was a Clerk and Representative until his death in 1971. Florence died in 1984.
