The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 16,145 & 270. Prior to the war he was a draughtsman of Melbourne Vic. He enlisted 11th Dec 1914 aged 22 years. He served with the 1st Divisional Engineers. He was promoted reaching the rank of Lieutenant, and while in that rank he earned the Military Cross for his activities. He survived the war, departed the UK for home 24th Jan 1919.
