Francis Kindlen enlisted at the age of 32 years and had a scar on his left knee and his left eye.
When he was discharged he was 35 years of age. Francis had gained one new scar on the base thumb of his left hand
Francis Kindlen stated he had done 12 1/2 years of military service before enlisting. Francis’s job in the army was a driver for the 1st divisional train. His rank was that of a Private, and he earned 5 shillings per diem (day).
