6 Mar 1916: Enlisted AIF WW1, Private, 1628, 38th Infantry Battalion, Place of enlistment - Brunswick, Melbourne Victoria
20 Jun 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1628, 38th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on HMAT 'A54' Runic from Melbourne on 20th June 1916, disembarked Plymouth, England 10th August 1916.
12 Nov 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1628, 38th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on HT Wiltshire from Portland on 12th November 1916, disembarking Melbourne 31st December 1916 suffering from Mitral incompetence, failure of compensation.
12 Dec 1917: Discharged AIF WW1, Private, 1628, 38th Infantry Battalion, 16th January 1917 admitted to 11th Australian General Hospital at Frankston. Private Darcy succumbed to disease on 13th July 1919.

Son of Jessie DARCY (nee CHRISTIE - born 1858 Hobart Tasmania, died 18th June 1950 Lauriston Victoria) of Hutton Street, Kyneton Victoria and James Patrick DARCY born 10th September 1857, Windsor died 16th March 1908 Lauriston Victoria.
