Life of Francis (Frank)
Frank married Norma Josephine Rockes and after the war became a baker and then a pastrycook. They went on to have four children: Diane B. 1943, Anne B. 1945, Josephine B. 1947 and Philip B. 1950. Frank was very interested in assisting what he referred to as 'the working man' to get ahead financially and so became involved with what was initially called St Kilian's Credit Union. This later became a large organisation in Bendigo and is now part of Bank Australia.
Their family grew to include ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
They both regularly attended Mass at St Kilian's church in Bendigo.
Norma passed away in 2009, but Frank continued to live at his home until he fell and broke his hip for a second time. He died peacefully in his sleep in 2016 aged 98.
