Corporal Stanley Kenneth Weaver (Service Nos:V53161/VX113511) initially served in the ACMF as a Sapper from 30 July 1941 to 22 October 1942, and was a Corporal attached to 2 Australian Field Coy RAE on 23 October 1942 when he enlisted 'in the field' in the AIF. Corporal Weaver served with 2 Field Coy RAE in Borneo (Morotai and Tarakan; 28 April 1945 - 29 October 1945), and was attached to 2 Field Coy RAE at Discharge on 8 November 1945.

Ken was born in Coburg, Melbourne, Victoria in 1920, youngest of five children of Albert Edward Day Weaver (b1888 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Clarice Lillian Isobel Baird (b1890 in Chiltern, Victoria). Albert (a Printer) and Clarice (a Weaver) married in 1911 in Melbourne, where they settled and raised their family and Albert worked as a Printer, Publisher and Commercial Traveller. In 1921, at his home in Melbourne, Albert died from a self inflicted gun shot wound.

Ken started work in Melbourne in 1936 as a Junior Salesman with Craig Williamsons Department Store, and in 1936 moved to Foy & Gibsons Department Store (Foys). In 1941 in Melbourne, Ken married Helena (Em) Emilie Tanner (b1919 at Cuthbert Siding via Albany, Western Australia). Following his Discharge from the Army, Ken and Em settled in Melbourne, where they raised their family and Ken returned to his employment with Foys Department Store. Ken played cricket with Coburg Cricket Club - and served as Vice Captain and Captain. Em died in 1981 and Ken in 1986.
