Warrant Officer II VX62141 Alvyn John Sutcliffe joined the 5th Field Survey Company in March 1945 and embarked overseas (per SS Charles M Russell) on 24 March 1945.

He disembarked at Morotai on 5 April 1945.

He left Morotai (per USS LST 584) on 30 May 1945 and disembarked in British Nth Borneo some time after.

He left Borneo on 6 December 1945 (per HMAS Manoora) and disembarked at Brisbane on 16 December 1945.
