At the time of enlistment he was living in Carlton, Victoria.
Husband of Emily Valentine of Powlett Street, East Malvern, Victoria. George and Emily married during 1917c in Victoria. Later gave his marital status as widower, which was incorrect as Emily contacted Base Records in 1930, and next of his kin as a friend Lilian Cunningham of Drummond Street, Carlton, Victoria
