Brother of James Godfrey Higgs who was killed in action on 26 August 1916 while serving with the 5th Field Ambulance and has no known grave. His name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux and Lancelot John Higgs who returned to Australia on 2 February 1920 having served with the 19th and 4th Battalions
