The 5th and youngest child of Phillip Scott and Mary Bormann. Born in Black Rock a small community (close to Orroroo) situated in the Mid North of South Australia.
Percival must have tried previously to enlist but he was not accepted due to his vision and slight flat feet, howeverhe was eventually accepted.
