Son of George Alfred Cooper and Louisa Cooper nee Ford of Milang, SA
On 21 August 1915 Harold married Mabel May Murphy in the Congregational Manse, Milang, SA
Brother of Clement Charlesworth Cooper who returned to Australia on 9 May 1919 having served with the 27th Battalion and 2nd Divisional Signal company, Leslie Charles Cooper and George Alfred Cooper
Returned to Australia on 27 June 1916 aboard HT Port Sydney
