Military Medal
'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations East of YPRES 4/6 October 1917. He was a stretcher bearing continuously throughout the operations across difficult country under heavy shell fire from the Regimental Aid Posts to the forward Ambulance Relay Stations. He set a spslendid example to the remainder of his squad.'
