Son of Robert Stuart MURRAY and Maron Mary MURRAY nee MANIFOLD, Wool Wool, Royal Avenue, Sandringham, Vic.

When he was 13 years old in 1905 he was awarded the Bronze Medal from the royal Humane Society - Archibald. Stuart Murray, Wool Wool, near Colac, aged 13, who rescued Robert Pratt, a groom, aged 42, from drowning in Lake Corangamite, on 16th December, 1904.
