Biography contributed by John Edwards

In his will written two months prior to his death, Vincent stated;

"It is my wish that my body be cremated, and the ashes cast without ceremony on the open sea. This wish, or any part of it, is subject to the wishes and feelings of my wife, children and parents. In expressing the above wish, I want it to be understood that I have no objection to religious or other ceremony at the time of cremation, or the burial of my body, but I desire there should be no ceremony at the casting of my ashes on the sea." - from the Melbourne Age 27 Nov 1933 (nla.gov.au)
