At the time of enlistment he was farming at Pengilly, WA
Son of George and Sarah Blight of Pine Lodge, Victoria, later of 64 Nixon Street, Shepparton, Vic.; half brother of George Alexander Blight who was killed in action on 28th September 1917 at Polygon Wood while serving with the 60th Battalion and has no known grave

PTE. BENJAMIN BLIGHT, son of Mr Geo. Blight, of Pine Lodge, who was reported as missing after the battle of Pozieres on July 29th last, is now definitely stated to have been killed. He was born at Pine Lodge, but had enlisted at Western Australia.
