WEDDING.

HAYLEY—FLOWER.

An interesting military wedding took place in London, at St. Peter's Church, Kensington Park Road, Bayswater, on August 18th, at 2.30 p.m. The contracting parties were Captain Foxton W. Hayley, 12th Australian Field Ambulance, only son of Mr. F. Hayley, Commercial Bank, Wellington, N.S.W., and Sister Vera E. Flower, eldest daughter of Mr. F. G. Flower, "Gunawah," Bangalow. The ceremony was performed by Chaplain Blackwood, 52nd Battalion, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Norman, of St. Peter's. The best man was Capt. W. Robinson, and the bridesmaid, Sister C. M. Dickson. The bride, who wore her uniform, was given away by Major H. O. Lethbridge, of N.S.W. During the signing of the register Miss Enid Wilkinson and Pte Car. Cameron, of Grafton, rendered solos, Pte. Daily Scarlett (also of Grafton) officiating at the organ. After the marriage a small reception was held by Mrs. E. Clive Wilkinson (aunt of the bridegroom) at Victoria House, 15 Pembridge Square, Bayswater. The guests present were Mrs. Malcolm Wilkinson, Miss Wilkinson, Mrs. Phillips, Miss Maizie Sherwen, Mrs. Palmer, Sisters C. M. Dickson, E. Perry, and M. Simmons, Major and Mrs. Lethbridge, Captain and Mrs. Glissan, Captain Robinson, Corporal Lindsay, Pte. Scarlett, Pte. Cameron, Capt. McIntosh, Sergt. Collings, Pte Thomas, Corporal Wain, Sergt. Norman and Pte. Flower. The happy couple left for Scotland, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a smart coat and skirt of nigger brown with hat to match. The presents were numerous and costly.
The bride and bridegroom saw service together in both Egypt and France, and a striking feature of the wedding was that practically all present were members of the A.I.F. and wore their distinctive uniforms.
