Albert Chambers
Albert was born and bred in country Western Australia. It was a big adventure to travel to the other side of the world and do his bit for King and Country.
Albert trained in Egypt Sept 1941 - Dec 1941 and served in the 2/32nd AIF battalion at El Alamein from Dec 1941- July 1942.
After being injured in 1942, Albert was declared unfit for duty in Jan 1943. He disembarked back in Fremantle 18th Feb 1943 where he was granted leave and medical assistance.
In July 1943 he was declared fit for restricted duty, Albert served the remainder of his service at the Nungarin depot. He was discharged in Feb 1946 after amassing a total of 54 months service.
Albert was always proud of his service to his country.
