James was a Butcher at Moorabbin, Victoria and in 1888 married Sarah in Berwick, Victoria. They settled at Narre Warren where James was a Farmer.
George was a Clerk when he enlisted in the AIF in August 1914. He served as a Gunner with the 4th Battery Field Artillery at Gallipoli (1915/1916) and transferred to 2nd Field Artillery Brigade, serving as a Bomadier and Corporal in Belgium and France. Returning to Melbourne, Victoria George resumed work as a Clerk and in 1928 in Melbourne, married Ida Florence Partridge (born 1898 in Melbourne, Victoria). George and Ida settled in Melbourne where George joined the Civil Service. Ida died in 1970 and George in 1986.
