Private Kevin David Miller (Service No:WX35036) initially served in the ACMF (Private/Gunner: Service No:W12150) from 19 December 1941 to 20 October 1942 with 44th Infantry Battalion and 109th Light Anti Aircraft Regiment. Private Miller enlisted in the AIF on 21 October 1942 with 109th Anti Aitcraft Regiment and was with 1 Australian Cavalry Commando Training Squadron in March 1945. Private Miller served in Morotai (16 June 1945 to 10 January 1946) and was attached to 64th Infantry Battalion at Discharge on 26 May 1946.
Dusty was second of five children of Henry (Harry) Jubilee Miller (b1897 in Warrnambool, Victoria) and Stella May Anderson (b1898 in Boyanup, WA). Harry (a Labourer) and Stella married in 1922 in Bunbury, WA where they settled and raised their family. Stella remarried following Harry's death in 1948.
Dusty worked as a Labourer in Bunbury before his service in WWII. Following his Discharge, he was working as a Lumper in Bunbury in 1947 when he married Hazel Eileen Bell (b1928 in Bunbury, WA). In the early 1950s Dusty and Hazel moved to Fremantle WA where Dusty worked as a Waterside Worker. The couple separated in the mid 1950s - Hazel settled in Perth and Dusty returned to Bunbury where, in 1973 he was remarried to Barbara Clara Beisiot (nee Culph; b1928 in Bunbury, WA). Dusty and Barbara settled in Bunbury where Dusty was a Waterside Worker and Driver. Barbara died in 2020 and Dusty in 2021.
