added detail - during his short service he maintained a diary, and this has been donated to the Australian War Memorial reference 2DRL/0196.

The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 148, 276 & 283. Prior to the war he was an accountant of Kew Vic. He enlisted 23rd June 1918, aged 23 yrs. He served with the 6th Infantry Battalion, and finished the war as a Temporary Captain. He survived the few weeks remaining of the war, departing the UK for home 12th June 1919.
