Let us remember the 16th name inscribed on the Minmi Roll of Honour as Fallen.

On the 18th July 1917, Private Charles E Sinclair, 35th Battalion (Reg No-552), labourer from Black Hill, Minmi, New South Wales, was Killed in Action, age 22 years 11 months. Cause of death unknown.

Emigrated to Australia in 1909.

No Roll of Honour circular submitted.
No Australian Red Cross Wounded and Missing File.

Born at Liverpool, England on the 28th August 1894 (not confirmed) to Charles and Elizabeth Jane Sinclair, from 49 Ponsonley Street, Princess Park, Liverpool, England (1917) and 109 Granby Street, Princess Park, Liverpool, England (1917) and 66 Hatherley Street, Princes Park, Liverpool, England, Charles enlisted on the 29th November 1915, age 21 years 3 months, at Newcastle, N.S.W.

Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A24 Benalla on the 1st May 1916.

Disembarked Plymouth, England 9.7.1916.

Proceeded O/Seas to France from Southampton, England 21.11.1916.

Reported Wounded in Action 18.7.1917.

Now reported Killed in Action 18.7.1917.

Charles is resting at Kandahar Farm Cemetery, Neuve-Eglise, Belgium. Plot II Row C Grave 20.
