Field gear discovered
I recently found a WW2 water canteen online for sale that I bought and noticed that it had a service number and name written onto the strap connected to the canteen, after a little digging through the archives I traced it down to Sergeant Ernest Donald Stokes of the 172 Light Anti Aircraft Battery, It is in near mint condition and safe in my military collection for the years to come
