Alfred Sydney Croker
Born 21/2/1918 at Ascot Vale Melbourne. Alf was the 7th child of Ewin George Croker & Louisa Croker (nee jones)
The first 5 siblings George Edward 1903-1966 James Henry 1905-1973, Louisa Lavinia 1906-1907, Edwin George 19010-1988 were born in Walthamstow St James, Essex, England, United Kingdom
Alfred & brother Thomas Albert 1915-2005 were born at 52 Mirams St Ascot Vale Melbourne.
Alf married Hilda Dorothy Francis 1923-2010 at the Church of Christ 52 Buckley St Essendon on 13 /3/1948.
Alf was the only sibling to move away from the local area to the other side of Melbourne to around Springvale.
I believe the move was due to soldier settlement allotments of the time. He could not get one around the inner Nth /West.
Alf and Hilda went on to have 3 daughters. Gail & Joy (twins) in 1949 and Lois in 1952.
They remained in this area until their deaths, Alf 1997 & Hilda 2010.
