Sergeant Theodor Mibus (Service No:VX113268) initially enlisted in the ACMF (Trooper; Service No:V160110) and served with 4th Light Horse Regiment and 101 Australian Motor Regiment (AMR) from 5 November 1941 to 15 October 1942. A Corporal on 16 October 1942 when he enlisted in the AIF, Sergeant Mibus was attached to 101 Australian Motor Regiment (AMR) at Discharge on 23 November 1945.

Ted was born in Hamilton, Victoria in 1922, sixth of eight children of Edmund Oswald Mibus (b1886 in Hamilton, Victoria) and Sophie Mirtschin (b1885 at Mt Rouse, Victoria). Edmund was a Farmer in Hamilton in 1913 when he and Sophie married at Tabor. They settled in Hamilton where they raised their family and Edmund was a Farmer, later moving to Portland.

Ted worked as a Farm Labourer in Portland before enlisting in the Army. In 1945 in Sydney, NSW he married Gwendolyn (Gwen) Andersen (b1922 in Sydney, NSW) - Gwen was serving in the AWAS (Private; Service No:NF461559) and had worked as a Machinist in Sydney. Following their Discharge, Ted and Gwen settled in Portland where they raised their family and Ted was a Contractor. Gwen died in 2006 and Ted in 2008.
