Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of William and E NOBES

Extreme regret has been expressed on receipt of the news that Corpl Guildford Charles Nobes, third son of Mr and Mrs W Nobes, of Moorina, had been killed in action in France on December 21st. Corpl Nobes who left Tasmania on 1st September 1915 was well known and deservedly popular, and the deepest sympathy will be felt for the bereaved family.
The other brothers have joined the colors — Merton Nobes, who is at the Front, and Pte Kenneth Nobes, who is in Claremont Camp.
