Private Albert Raymond Fisher (Service No: W57101) enlisted in the ACMF on 25 June 1942 and was attached to 13 Infantry Training Battalion - graded Storeman. Private Fisher served with 44 and 61 Battalions, and was attached to 7 Australian Ordnance Vehicle Park at Discharge on 25 June 1946.

Bert was born in County Peak via Beverley, Western Australia in 1906, fourth of nine children of William Edwin Fisher (b1874 at Grace Plains, Balaklava, South Australia) and Elizabeth Maria Quinlan (b1879 in Northam, Western Australia). William had travelled to Western Australia in the late 1890s, prospecting on the Goldfields, and in 1900 in Northam, he and Elizabeth married. The couple were briefly in South Australia before returning to Western Austrlaia and settling at County Peak via Beverley. William and Elizabeth raised their family at County Peak, where William was a Farmer, and first in the district to own a motor vehicle. They retired from the property to Beverly in 1926, and William ran a Taxi Service and served on the Beverley Road Board. 

Bert worked as a Labourer and Truck Driver in York where, in 1927 he married Eva Muriel Duckham (b1908 in York, Western Australia). Bert and Eva settled at Main Camp, York where they raised their family and Bert worked as a Labourer. Bert died in 1994 and Eva in 1996.
