WO2 Officer, Trainer, dedicated to Improving everyone under his command better at what they were doing.

I only served with WO2 McKenzie for a very short time. I was new to the unit and the least skilled. In that short time, I felt he went out of his way to up skill me in operating a DUKW. Fortunately for me, I was young and like a sponge and took in most of what he imparted to me and kept looking for more. I am sure this was his way, and the other members of the unit were all trained in same way. You could feel his satisfaction when you achieved, and his continual support was proof of this. The skills he imparted to me, allowed me to pass on these skills to others for several years later. In refection today I realise this was just one part of his character, he was truly a caring person by nature. He had strong personal beliefs that contributed to the way he conducted himself, fair, understanding, coupled with the desire to help if he could. I will always reflect on this short time with honour and respect. Rest easy with family "Little Sport" I will always be grateful for my time with you.
