Personal Stories
Sponge cake for breakfast
Hi,
I didn't ever meet my Great Great Uncle Alec- but my Nana, Merle Clarke née Almond told me that Uncle Alec's leg was blown off by a cannon and that he had a wooden leg.
Nana told me that Uncle Alec, upon returning from the war LOVED to eat sponge cake for breakfast and he was allowed this indulgence with love and nil interference
As soon as I can find an image or talk to Nana and get more info, I will update
