Sergeant Kelvin Clyde Adamson (Service Nos:V23454/VX118400) initially served in the ACMF as a Corporal with 13th Light Horse/Armoured Regiment (14 December 1941 - 29 November 1942). Corporal Adamson then enlisted in the AIF on 30 November 1942 with 13th Australian Armoured Regiment. Promoted to Sergeant on 14 September 1943, he was attached to 1 Personnel Staging Camp at Discharge on 11 December 1945. Siblings Mervin and Clem also served in WWII.

Fourth of nine children, Kelvin was born in Sale, Victoria in 1916 to Frederick (Fred) Ernest Adamson (b1885 in Adelaide, South Australia) and Edith Kate Skeen (b1887 in Sale, Victoria). Fred was working as a Driver in Sale in 1911 when he and Edith married - they settled in Sale, where they raised their family and Fred worked as a Driver, Grocery Shop Assistant and Dairyman.

Kelvin worked as a Salesman in Sale where, in 1941 he married Jane Henderson Crombie Porteous (b1921 in fife, Scotland) - Jane immigrated with her parents and siblings in 1929, arriving in Sydney NSW on board the Barradine. Following his Discharge from the Army, Kelvin and Jane lived in Sale, Stawell and Wodonga, where they raised their family and Kelvin was a Salesman and Sales Manager. In the mid 1960s they moved to Melbourne, where Kelvin was a Warehouseman and Manager, before moving to Albury, NSW in the early 1970s. Following Jane's death in 1974, Kelvin remarried in 1976 to Muriel Beryl Schofield (nee Lloyd; b1912 in Lockhart NSW) - Muriel was a Widow. Kelvin and Muriel settled in Albury, where Kelvin worked as a Clerk. Kelvin died in 2005 and Muriel in 2012.
