Address at the time of enlistment was C/- of a Mrs Crawford of Russell Street, South Brisbane.
Son of James Thomas and Mary Ann Pascoe of 18 Arm Street, Long Gully, Bendigo, Victoria. Following the death of her husband Mary Ann moved to the home of Mrs Crawford of Russell Street, South Brisbane
Alfred was killed in the first and failed attack at Pozieres. He was described by a friend as small and amusing
25 July 1917 - mother wrote to Base Records asking if ther had been any reports as to whether or not Alfred was a Prisoner of War as she had not heard anything since he had posted missing 12 months earlied
