Husband of Mytle Beatrice Owen nee Hefford of Broome Crescent, Wonthaggi, Victoria. James and Myrtle married during 1914c in Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 1 November 1917 aboard HT Anchises disembarking on 4 January 1918 at Sydney.
