Son of William and Eliza NELSON

Private Victor Nelson was born on 21 January 1921 in Kellerberrin, WA.. He was a Farm Hand prior to the war and enlisted in the Australian Army at Port Hedland in 1942.  Private Nelson served in the Australian Imperial Force from 1942 to 1946, and saw action in the South Pacific region.  He was discharged on the 4th June 1946 following the end of World War II, returning via the ship 'Strathford Victory' to Brisbane.

Victor married Elsie Katherine SPRATT in 1958 in Dundas WA and had 8 children,
