Kevin Lancelot KING was born in The Rock, NSW on 5th August, 1915

His parents were Lancelot John KING & Ethel Pearl THORNTON who married on 15th August, 1911

He enlisted in Wagga Wagga, NSW on 24th June 1940 & was sent to Bomay in March, 1941 & returned to Australia in February, 1943 and was sent up to Queensland where he did jungle training reading for heading over to New Guinea

He arrived in New Guinea in August 1943 and received a serious gun shot wound to the head in December, 1943 & returned to Australia in January 1944 and was discharged as medically unit on 13th August, 1944 - at the time he was a Lance Corporal in the 9th Australian Provost Coy.

Kevin died in 1973 and is buried in Christ Church in Blacktown
