William Alexander Morton
William Morton was born in Melbourne and was practicing medicine in Merino, Victorla when he enlisted on 20/4/1915. He was appointed Captain and left Melbourne on the HMAT Wandilla on 25/6/1916. He served at the 1st General Hospital and as Medical officer to the 3rd Field Arty Brigade.
He was promoted to Major and returned to Australia on 18/1/1919.
He set up practice in Sunbury, Victorla and was the first president of the Sunbury RSL.
He died in Sunbury on 9/5/1928 and was buried at Sunbury.
